All Food Mixers are sanitary and can be further defined by their application.
PREDICTABLE, REPEATABLE & RELIABLE MIXING. Repeatability is one of the biggest mixing problems. For example, and extruder will perform much better if the material is accurately mixed that is feeding it.
We make six categories of sanitary food mixers, all are CDA, USDA, FDA accepted: sanitary carbon, general food grades, super sanitary food grade, 3A, pharmaceutical.
NO SHEAR MIXING
The reason for using mixing without shear is to mix without degradation and heat generation. This is important for any sugar based items such as sugar with rolled oats; sugar based drinks like iced tea, orange crystals or fiber, except when sugar plating is required.
No Shear Mixing is also used for mixing cereals, fruit, vegetables, coffee beans, flavored coffee, tea, baby formula, milk powder, whey powders spices with fiber, granola, trail mix.
Because of our high particle movement, we can also add liquids very fast and accurately. We also have a High Particle Flow Bar which can speed up the particle speed under the spray. We use the HPFB to make doughnut icing sugar as a cold process. The sequence starts with room temperature dextrose. To that we add melted tallow. The tallow does set up but we have...
For the sticky products like fruit, we can offer Teflon impregnation or electro-polish.
HIGH SHEAR MIXING
Our aggressive shear has many uses in the food industry to remove lumps with repeatable performance so an additional milling or screening step may be eliminated.
There is a difference in shear levels. Here is an example: A customer was using a competitive device on guar gum, screening, and scrapping about 20%. We took our demo machine to their scrap pile and recovered the whole thing.
Here are some other uses: salad dressings, barbeque sauce, chocolate brownie mix, yellow cake mix, angel food cake mix, concentrate for extruding, calcium enrichment of chocolate.
