This is a wide range of products for setting tiles, road patch, floor patch, stuccos, machinery setting grouts, broadcasts, floor hardeners, waterproofing--are all items made in our machines, many of which are proprietary recipes of our customers. They have to be made accurately, some with shear and some without.
Invariably our users are looking for the lowest investment per ton, high production, with predictable, repeatable, and reliable performance. We have the lowest priced mixer and shear system that will repeat its performance. This is how you can fine tune your recipe to save minor ingredients, and pigments if you use color. . .
The quality of these products is important. When properly mixed, the products perform as they were designed. Some of the patching and grouts contain catalysts to make them fast setting or to set up in a specified time. Without proper distribution of the catalyst, the patch doesn’t set up in the time it is supposed to.
One of our customers has developed a light weight grout using our shear technology. It is a very attractive item in the do-it-yourself market because it is much easier to use than conventional grouts.
Most of these products can be broken down into major ingredients which are in silos or bulk bags; minor ingredients in 50 lb. bags, and micros that are just a couple of pounds.
We offer several system concepts depending upon the volume. Our usual tolerances are plus or minus 5 lb. on majors; plus or minus 1 lb. on minors; and plus or minus 0.02 lbs. on micros.
On majors, we use gain in weight (GIW) or loss in weight (LIW). From silos we use GIW usually into a weigh hopper. We would use LIW if we were putting an item, above the mixer in a holding hopper either with a bucket elevator or bulk bags.
Minors are usually cut directly into a mixer on load cells, on a side scale, or are pre-weighed and staged.
Micros are usually weighed in a pail on an accurate side scale. In some operations, they are done in the lab and pre-packaged.
These mixers are the same quality as our Cement Mixers.
A tiled liner is also available for users with a high volume of pea gravel.
