A&J Mixing manufactures machinery for the animal and pet food industry in single rotor and double rotor. Mixers are available in both batch and continuous configurations. The machines coat all surfaces including the ends.
The applications are:
- Increase production in an existing space using a double or single rotor mixer.
- Finishing Dairy and Horse feeds with high amounts of molasses, fat, inhibitors, in high volume. Molasses is being added up to 25% by weight. Besides the ability to coat quickly and evenly, we do it without breaking flakes or pellets.
- Premixing ahead of extruders.
- Coating petfood or aquatic kibble without breakage atmospherically or with vacuum.
- Rebuilding worn ribbons with our paddle system which will give better mixing, and is easier to do in a confined space. One company has rebuilt 7 machines.
- Vitamin and mineral mixing.

Carbon Steel housing with AR paddles, 75 cu. ft. (2125 liters) capacity used for vitamin and minerals for animal and pet food. The mixer is loaded from air receivers and has a bypass through the hopper to a bagger for bagging individual ingredients. Mixer is polished inside to get better cleanout.

Stainless Contact dual rotor, 64 cu. ft. (2000 liter) capacity vacuum infusion coater for pet food or aquafeed. This is the heart of a total system to process 15 metric tons per hour. |
