Mixer/coater has AJSP patented rotors in a pressure vessel rated for 15 psi (1 bar) external pressure.

High randomized particle movement wipes liquid from particle to particle, or presents all particles under sprays to get even coating including the ends. Typical liquid application is 30 seconds.

|
Most coatings under 10% are applied atmospherically, as well as powder coatings and enzyme mixtures.
|
|
Over 10%, liquids are applied under vacuum and when released, atmospheric pressure forces the liquid inside pellets. Total coating important so air does not take path of least resistance.
|
|
Common use of the system is to put up to 40% oil or fat into fish feed and pet feed extruded pellets.
|
|
The PHLAUERTM system usually consists of mixer on load cells to weigh pellets, weigh tanks for liquids, vacuum pump and accumulator, and PLC or PC/PLC controls. Loss in weight feeder used for powder.
