A&J manufactures cement and mortar mixers in multiple configurations for a variety of industrial uses.
We originally developed The Shearmaker™ for cement applications, specifically to achieve red and salmon colors in masonry cement within fixed times. Lighter colors mix faster, while certain colors like mallard green may require more time but are produced at lower volumes.
A&J is the only company capable of developing color in non-sanded cement materials.
The patented PHLAUER™ rotor is designed for customizable high shear. The system divides the mixer into zones with inner and outer paddles, creating randomized flow in both directions.
When Shearmaker™ blades are added, paddle faces are notched without compromising mixing efficiency. This enables high-speed color development — up to 5-ton batches fully developed in as little as 3 minutes.
