Sanitary mixers from A&J Mixing are designed with one goal: absolute cleanliness and compliance.
All models are free from cracks, crevices, and undercut welds, with ground welds to meet the most stringent sanitary requirements.
We manufacture six distinct categories of sanitary mixers, all CDA, USDA, and FDA accepted, covering everything from sanitary carbon to pharmaceutical applications.
Whether you require general food-grade, 3A-certified, or pharma-ready mixing, A&J offers customizable solutions that ensure safety, cleanability, and process reliability.
We manufacture six categories of sanitary mixers:
- Category 1 – Sanitary Carbon
Carbon steel suitable for products cooked before consumption, e.g., roasted coffee beans. Interiors can be polished or impregnated with food-grade Teflon.
Limitation: carbon surfaces may discolor with water or corrode with harsh chemicals. - Category 2 – Stainless Contact / Carbon Reinforced
Stainless contact parts with carbon exterior reinforcement. Painted finishes optional, but not recommended for areas exposed to loading. - Category 3 – All Stainless
All-stainless construction (except power transmission). Optional washdown motor/gearbox for higher pressure cleaning. - Category 4 – Super Sanitary
Designed for high-level sanitary needs. Features: corrosion-resistant air cylinders, perforated guards, washable seals, and fire-hose cleanability. - Category 5 – 3A Certified
Built to dairy standards, widely used in infant formula. Includes toolless, washable shaft seals, epoxy-coated bearings, stainless junction boxes, waterproof electrics.
Variations accepted under “best available” require prior agreement. - Category 6 – Pharmaceutical
Electro-polished stainless for maximum cleanability.
All machines available in single rotor or double rotor configurations, with sizing tailored to application.
