Cement Mixers

Our patented mixer rotor is engineered for cement applications, enabling custom shear levels while maintaining optimal mixing action.

The paddles can be notched and compensated so that mixing efficiency is preserved, even when paired with high-shear systems like our Shearmaker blades.

This combination provides unmatched control for blending, pigment dispersion, and material conditioning.

Mixer Details

The Shearmaker was originally developed specifically for cement mixing — especially to develop red and salmon colors in masonry cement to a Cv. of 5% in just one minute.

These high-shear tools operate between paddle faces on every pass, ensuring fast and uniform color development without overmixing.

A&J also offers replaceable, abrasion-resistant paddle faces for both new and retrofitted rotors, providing long service life in high-wear cement environments.

Typical Applications

  • Masonry cement (colored and uncolored)
  • Mortars
  • Pigmented masonry blends
  • Decorative cement mixes
  • Cement with additives
  • Cement requiring color uniformity

More Information

Cement mixing requires precise shearing and carefully controlled paddle geometry to achieve consistent color and product integrity.

A&J’s patented rotor design and Shearmaker technology work together to reduce mixing time, improve uniformity, and minimize rework — even in highly abrasive materials.

Optional abrasion-resistant components extend equipment life and reduce maintenance downtime, making the system ideal for continuous or high-volume cement production.
